#62

We hope that your holiday weekend was full of family and fireworks. Now that we are through the second of three summer holidays the next stop is college football season. We are now 62 days away from the Hoosiers’ opener on September 5th and we will take a look at senior Ralston Evans.

 Name: Ralston Evans

HT/WT: 6’4”, 290 lbs.

Position: Offensive Line

Year: RS Senior

Hometown: Indianapolis, IN

Career Highlights:

Evans was part of head coach Kevin Wilson’s first recruiting class in 2011, but missed that year after suffering a knee injury. In high school he played both ways for Arlington High School where he was named to the Indiana Football Coaches Association Top 50 as well as to the first team Indianapolis Star Super Team.

Evans made is Hoosier debut in a win against UMass in 2012 and then started all 12 games his sophomore season in 2013. 2014 was an injury-plagued year that saw Evans play in only 8 games.

2015 Outlook:

Evans should be a stalwart at right guard if he can shake off the injury bug. When healthy in 2013 he helped a Hoosier offense set records for total yards (6,102), points (461), and points per game (38.4). With a healthy Evans, the Hoosiers can shoot to be one of the better offenses in the conference.
