Well it finally feels like summer. Hazy, hot, and humid. If you're not a fan of the heat, don't worry the fall will be here very quickly. We are now 48 days away from kickoff of the 2015 Indiana Football season.
In honor of day 48 we are going to take a look at both of the Hoosiers who are donning that number in 2015. Long snapper Nolan Guedel and linebacker Marcus Mabry.
- Position: Long Snapper
- Ht/Wt: 6-0, 195 lbs.
- Year: RS Freshman
Guedel walked on to the Hoosier team in 2014 and redshirted his first season. He played his high school ball at New Palestine High School in New Palestine, In where his team won the conference, sectional, and regional championships. Guedel should be in contention for some playing time on special teams since there is an opening at long snapper.
- Position: Linebacker
- Ht/Wt: 5-11, 220 lbs.
- Year: RS Junior
Mabry is another product of a walk-on program that head coach Kevin Wilson has tried to emphasize since arriving in Bloomington. He is from nearby Elletville, In. and attended Edgewood High School where he lettered in football, basketball, and track. He redshirted the 2014 season and should be able to log some time on some of the coverage units.
