AHHHHH!!! I cannot keep calm with just 39 days left until the Hoosiers' Sept. 5th matchup against Southern Illinois. As such the Hoosier Huddle Countdown to Kickoff moves on to number 39 linebacker Kenny Arnold.

Kenny Arnold

Arnold was a two-sport athlete in high school at Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep where he lettered three years in football and two years in baseball. His team won the state title in 2011 and finished one win short of repeating in 2012. Arnold was an All-Catholic and all-league selection for his efforts during his senior season.

Arnold redshirted his first season at IU in 2014 after joining the program as a walk-on. The Michigan native was a key cog on the scout team as he won the scout team player of the week twice. 

In 2015 Arnold may see his efforts on the scout team rewarded with some playing time on the special team units. It will be hard for him to crack the two-deep as the Hoosiers are loaded at the inside linebacker position, especially with the addition of Raekwon Jones, and may not posses the speed to play the outside backer position at the Big Ten level.
