The Hoosier Huddle Countdown to Kick-off has begun! There are now 53 days until the Indiana Hoosiers kick-off the 2017 season against the Ohio State Buckeyes. That seems like a long way away and I suppose it is, but this countdown will fly by and it will be football season before we know it! Today’s countdown takes a look at Andrew Stamm.
Andrew Stamm (Redshirt Freshman)
-Height: 6’2”
-Weight: 215 pounds
-Hometown: Connersville, Indiana
-Position: Linebacker
Tom Allen loves the state of Indiana, and Andrew Stamm is a versatile linebacker from the state that earned a spot as a walk-on last year. He redshirted, and will have four years of eligibility remaining starting this year. Stamm played his high school ball at Connersville, and will likely spend the season contributing on the scout team and on special teams. These are valuable bodies to have, and it’s nice to see a desire in-state by these types of guys to come and play for Coach Allen. It bodes well for the program overall, and I’m hoping it continues as long as Allen is here. This is his bio on IUHoosiers.com:

Allen loves hard workers that play multiple sports, and Stamm definitely fits that bill. Watch for Stamm down the line as a grinder-type guy that just works his tail off to see the field (cough cough Mitchell Paige). 53 down! Football season is coming folks!
