Although the fate of certain sports are up in the air, the Hoosier Huddle 100 Day Countdown never stops. Today, we’re taking a look at recent transfer RB, Chris Childers.
Chris Childers, previously of the Indiana State Sycamores, was a great role player on their team. Being 6’0” and 220 pounds helps when trying to find leverage. The Hoosiers sure picked up a valuable asset at RB which makes the already stacked depth chart that much better.
34 rushing attempts for 110 yards in 2019 doesn’t seem like a lot, but Childers plays his role well, scoring three touchdowns on the season. Childers isn’t just a role player, he took five kickoff returns in 2019 and three kickoff returns in 2018 for a combined 123 yards.
Childers has quite the high school career as well, finishing with 1,512 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns which got him First Team All-Conference at St. Rita HS under head coach Todd Kuska.
