We wrap up our Throwback Thursday series with the Hoosiers victory over the Purdue Boilermakers in the Old Oaken Bucket Game. (Yes, I realize we don’t have the wrap ups for the Wisconsin and Ohio State games. My apologies). This win ended the season on a positive note and gave the Hoosiers possession on the Bucket for the first time since 2010.

This one stung. This is the game that will be forever etched into the minds of Hoosier fans all over the country. The one that got away, literally. Indiana needed a win to realistically keep their bowl hopes alive and they just couldn’t complete to comeback.

Why They Played: The Hoosiers and the Wolverines faced off for the first time since 2010 and for the 62nd time all-time. Michigan leads the series 52-9 coming into today’s game.
What The Game Meant:
Indiana had a chance to end a 16 game losing streak against the Wolverines and to climb back over .500 both overall and in Big Ten play.

We are under 60 days until kickoff and what better way to celebrate than reliving the Hoosiers' best win of the Kevin Wilson Era when they beat up on the Nittany Lions 44-24. Although Indiana could not build a winning streak off this game, it was still a great sign for the program.

Welcome back to our “Throw Back Thursday” series where we take a look back at every game from the 2013 season. Today we start off with the Week One 73-35 victory over Indiana State.
How was that for some opening night fireworks? The Hoosiers covered all the bases both good and bad. There was a running game and an aerial attack that could not be stopped. There was also a defense that forced two turnovers. However there were bad penalties, stupid turnovers, and missed tackles. The Hoosiers set records for the most points scored at Memorial Stadium by any team, returned their first punt for a touchdown since 2006, and scored more points in the first half since 1949. Overall it was a fun night, but there are still many aspects that need to be cleaned up.
