3-Star Florida DB Josh Philostin Commits to IU

Josh Philostin, a top-500 nationally ranked prospect in the 2024 class, committed to the Hoosiers Wednesday afternoon. He chose the Hoosiers over Rutgers, Arkansas, Illinois and other power five programs.

The 5-foot-11 175-pound athlete out of West Palm Beach, Florida is rated as a composite 3-star and the 41st ranked cornerback in the country.

The commitment came days after a confident Head Coach Tom Allen at his Monday media availability.

“Recruiting is very critical,” Allen said. “Thought we made some headway with key guys by going out to see them and being able to talk to their coaches and being visible at games and making sure they know the priority they are.”

Philostin is the 18th commit of the 2024 Hoosier class.
