2023 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 81 Days (Brady Simmons)

Welcome, Hoosiers fans to the 2023 Hoosier Huddle Countdown! We countdown from 100 days to the beginning of the 2023 Indiana University football season on September 2nd against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Every day, we look at players on the current roster and highlight the players' roles in the upcoming season. Today we dive into a local kid from Ben Davis in Indianapolis Brady Simmons.

Name: Brady Simmons

Hometown: Indianapolis, Indiana

Position: Wide Reciver

Year: Freshman

Height/Weight: 6-1/160

Simmons is a preferred walk on and redshirted last year for the Hooiser. He earned two Scout Team Co-offensive Player of the Week honors against Michigan and Michigan State. Out of high school, he earned small DII and DIII from schools such as Marian, St.Francis and Gardner-Webb.  

His senior season at Ben Davis was impressive, tallying over 600 yards and four touchdowns according to MaxPreps.com. He put together an impressive season and tape lining up all over the field displaying tremendous speed. Simmons Senior Season Tape

This season, Simmons is behind a deep wide receiver unit but did impressive during the spring game making a beautiful tip toe-ing catching before walking into the end zone. The future is bright for Simmons who hopes to put in the work to see the field in the forceable future.
