2021 Countdown to Kickoff: 4 Days Part II (David Baker)

With the Hoosier Huddle 100 day countdown nearly completed, and Hoosier fans chomping at the bit for some football action, we’re taking a look at redshirt freshman David Baker.

Height: 6’3’’

Weight: 195 pounds

Hometown: Indianapolis, IN

Position: WR

Baker’s entrance into the Hoosier locker room was a good one after landing on the IndyStar’s super team selection for his senior year in high school. Only making an appearance in the win at Maryland, Baker has yet to see any meaningful field action. He redshirted the entire 2020 season for the Hoosiers, but is certainly ready to prove himself this season.

Baker would give Indiana another bigger receiver with his 6’3” frame. IU’s receivers room is stacked, but Baker’s time is going to come. He may just have to take on a reserve role and hopefully see more playing time.
