2021 Countdown to Kickoff: 4 Days Part I (Cam Jones)

The Hoosier Huddle 100 Day Countdown is so very close to being completed, and with it comes a new season of Hoosier football. Today, we’re looking at Cam Jones out of Memphis, TN.

Height: 6’3’’

Weight: 224 pounds

Hometown: Memphis, TN

Position: LB

Cam Jones has been a cornerstone for the Hoosier defense in the past few years. He’s made play after play after play and hasn’t batted an eye. After accruing team captain honors, Jones went on to have an absolutely sensational year at the LB position. He Collected 35 tackles, 24 solo, with three sacks, four for loss, four quarterback hurries, and three pass breakups among other things in his quest for greatness. 

In his IU career, Jones has played in 31 games and has made 90 total tackles with 8.5 tackles for loss and five sacks. He has also had a hand in creating six takeaways.

Jones’ role on the Hoosiers will be immense this season as he enters his Senior year. Already being a team captain last year, the squad will look for him to be a leader more than ever in the locker room and on the field. If there’s anyone for Indiana who’s eligible for NFL hype after this season, it’s Cam Jones.
