@bradstevens That dude is a great follow.  History professor in the UNC system, I think.

Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

@myteamisonthefloor I remember discovering that I could occasionally pick up a Canadian hockey broadcast in French on clear nights from our house on the Southside of Indy. I probably listened to a dozen or more games in a language I didn't understand for no other reason I guess, than it seemed so cool!

A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"

I could get in WLW 700 out of Cincinnati after dark,  even when living in New England. I sat in my car straining to hear Pete, over all the early evening static, get hit 4192 that night in the 80s. I can sometimes get WLW from south Florida too, these days.

The semi state or state high school basketball tourney was often over our spring break when we were in Florida. If Anderson was in it my dad and I would go sit in the car and drive around listening to WOWO from Ft Wayne.
