Recently watched "The Ballad of Wallis Island"...fantastic movie. I'm partial to folk music so that helped but it was a beautiful, restrained hour and 40 minutes.

I have only seen episode 1 of The Studio but it seems that it is exactly the kind of movie I would expect insiders to love. Sometimes the awards are very self-congratulatory.

That was a fascinating acting job. But for all its artistic excellence, the show itself left me unsatisfied. I don't necessarily need a happy ending or one that ties up all the loose ends, but for me this ending was anticlimactic.
