I watched it. I feel like I need to bill Amazon for my 2 hours.
And I can watch a bad movie and find it ironically entertaining, but this was so far beyond that.
As for Ice Cube I love the guy, but his range as an actor is so very limited (basically playing some version of his RL self) and he was a miserable choice for the role. Combined with a horrible script and tenuous premise it was purely a play for a nice paycheck in exchange for the eyeballs his name recognition would bring to it.

@larsiu There have probably been a dozen War of the Worlds movies. I'm not sure any is truly a remake of an earlier one given that it's a famed novel. That's like saying The Life of Brian was a remake of The Greatest Story Ever Told. ;p
