They need to just start their own league or head to Europe.  These are the most racist people I've ever seen.  The refs, the players, the coaches all of them.

right, Cunningham is the guilty one.

she literally beat the shit out of Carrington's forearm with her face

if it weren't for the drama, no one would even pay any attention to the WNBA

their 15 minutes is about over

I caught the tail end of an interview with him on Varney this morning.  I'll see if I can find the video.  Solid.Freaking.Gold

Here it is

I went and found the article because I couldn't believe someone actually wrote and posted that garbage. They changed the 'karma' part of the headline, but the article is still such BS. They mention Cunningham's flagrant 2 foul on Jacy Sheldon from LAST SEASON as if that somehow justifies anything. I missed the part in the rule book where other players are justified in beating the shit out of you if you also have had a flagrant foul called on you at any point in your career.

The WNBA needs to figure out a way to get out of their own way. For the first time in maybe forever, they have a handful of women they could easily build up and market as stars. Aja Wilson and Caitlin Clark should be tops of that list. If they treated them like Jordan, Bird and Magic and the biggest controversy the league faced was whether or not those players get away with too much and are protected by the refs they'd be infinitely better off.

They'd probably never get away with this, but they should also place a strict moratorium on political topics/current events in press conferences. They don't collectively have a big enough platform yet to weigh in on those topics without overshadowing the actual basketball.

@hooky all those people replying to him can't help but take the bait.

I wonder where this all goes. Does the WNBA end up having to draw a line in the sand on who can participate in their league? My guess is that the teams all agree not to draft them as a way of having to come down on one side of the trans debate. Still, it'd be interesting to see them go one and two in the WNBA draft and just dominate against every other team except when they play each other.

Clay & Buck have turned their show into all trannies, all the time. They believe that an agreement not to draft these guys would result in all kinds of collusion and anti-trust litigation.

Not much of a Clay Travis fan, but the Nashville Balls is so money.

@ohio-guy I assume the WNBA is now backed into a corner and has to make some decisions on how they define what the W in WNBA stands for. I don't really see a winning strategy for them at this point.
