@carramrod You’re certifiable. I find it hard to believe you’ve actually seen it if that’s what you think. You think it’s all rap? Dear Theodosia, The Story of Tonight, That Wpuld be Enough, Burn, , History Has its Eyes on You, Satisfied, It’s Quiet Uptown, are all gorgeous ballad.
@bradstevens One of my favorite songs. I’ve seen it three times and sold a ticket for almost $1000. We had really good seats and I’d already seen it in Chicago.
Compare the message and spirit of Hamilton to what came after with the 1619 Project and its like two different worlds.@bradstevens One of my favorite songs. I’ve seen it three times and sold a ticket for almost $1000. We had really good seats and I’d already seen it in Chicago.
Within just a couple of years, you had POC performing a musical lauding our Founding Fathers and making an attempt to identify as them. Then, that changed to an assault on those same people and a belittling of their ideas and ideals as masks for white supremacy.
An astounding and terrible turn.
Uhhhhhhhh
A heavily made up Laurence Olivier played him and did a great job. Now that movie is banned because of blackface. I understand the objections to blackface in the minstrel shows, but that isn’t Olivier in Othello. Do you also object to a serious white actor playing a serious black part in make up?
