Clarence Thomas is the best argument against DEI ever.

None of this crap is witty or clever. It’s also vague as hell.

Was Thomas the DEI hire? That seems to belie the history of his nomination and time on the court. It’s a fucking stupid thing to say.

Are you saying he proves you don’t need DEI because of how excellent he is? I’d agree with that.

I’m not your typical DEI type. My main beef is the inclusion of sexual predators.

Thanks for asking.

sounds like you have a beef with @hurryinghoosiers and his support for pedophilia...

Never supported pedophilia asshole.  You voted for one though.  @jdb loves pedos

Sure, some might say this is about DEI hiring, which I am obviously against, or liberal behavior. But, I think it more or less reiterates the notion that women don't shut the hell up.

ACB is the exception in this case. Remind your wife of this (call her Justice Jackson) when she's telling you an endless story and including shit that doesn't matter. Give me the damn punchline woman! Here's a future of less talking and more doing!

In a nutshell, those graphs are an indicator of the extent to which each judge discusses matters before rendering a decision, in other words, to what extent each judge is not pre-programmed to vote a certain way.

Now you asked for it.

An XL friend of mine from Nigeria and I were sitting and watching the people around us. One young guy, about 20 maybe, was seriously obese. She said to me, “He looks like a woman.“ at the time I simply took it as a cultural perspective. I assume in her native lands women are blubbered and men are chiseled.

It's an indicator of nothing more than the fact that there are only three liberals on the bench, and so when it comes to that portion of jurisprudence which doubles as performance art, they each need to carry roughly twice the load of their conservative colleagues. (Not quite twice, actually, since you should really just lop Thomas out of the equation altogether, since he's an outlier for idiosyncratic reasons.)

Edit to add: Or, as JDB said, women just talk too much, and ACB probably had a sore throat much of the past term.

@mark-milton

Sotomayor has slipped—a lot.  I supported her appointment on the old Cooler mostly because I think lawyers with extensive trial experience usually make better judges. Trial experience is in short supply  on The Supreme  Court. She lived up to those expectations for several years, now she makes the court dumber.

FWIW, , I was fortunate enough to observe an entire day of supreme  court arguments. Sandra Day O’Connor was the most active that day, and she was the most effective.

In the company of Alpha males, research shows women talk less. With  beta males, vice versa.

Comport with your experience?

Fellas, I enjoy an eFight as much as the next guy, but can we stick to the premise of this thread that states, "women talk to much"? At least agree on that.

I thought the premise of this thread, at least as it pertains to the title of "What does SCOTUS teach you about society?", is that we use acronyms entirely too much.

As for broads talking too much, they started getting lippy when they weaseled their way into higher education. Then came property rights and voting.

It's been all downhill from there...th coffee
