@shooter blowing whistles to purposely obstruct law enforcement is illegal. These protesters blowing them in the quantity they are likely violates local noise ordinances as well.
Nope. I have heard lawyers explain that legally you are protected unless you forcibly try to impede them. Properly trained law enforcement should be do their job even if people are blowing whistles to alert everyone that there is a dangerous situation due to the mere presence of rogue vigilante cop wannabes.
The relevant statute cited by ICE criminalizes forcible interference with federal law enforcement. It is 18 U.S.C. § 111 and it reads:
(a) In General.—Whoever—
(1) forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes with any person designated in section 1114 of this title while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties; or
(2) forcibly assaults or intimidates any person who formerly served as a person designated in section 1114 on account of the performance of official duties during such person’s term of service,
shall, where the acts in violation of this section constitute only simple assault, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both, and where such acts involve physical contact with the victim of that assault or the intent to commit another felony, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both.
(b) Enhanced Penalty.— Whoever, in the commission of any acts described in subsection (a), uses a deadly or dangerous weapon (including a weapon intended to cause death or danger but that fails to do so by reason of a defective component) or inflicts bodily injury, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.

It is protected speech, just as flashing your lights to alert other drivers of a speed trap has been ruled to be protected speech, from a case where a man flashed his lights to warn other drivers of police and the police stopped and arrested him. All charges were dropped but that wasn't good enough for him... He sued based on violation of rights. He won his case.
Warn other drivers of speed traps. Warn other residents that the secret police is in the area demanding papers. Both are your right.

@shooter You continue to weigh into matters you don't understand. You can absolutely be cited for flashing your lights under state and local ordinances. Just as impeding law enforcement can be upt to interpretation as it relates to interference, obstruction, etc. You somehow have this mistaken belief that THE CONSTITUTION gives you unfettered rights. It doesn't. As much as you are removed from reality in a school bubble you are with the Constitution. State and local laws can quite easily jam you up for the activities you note. You should go out and try them. Get a big air horn whistle and blow it in a Sheriff's face down in Riviera Beach while you're on the sidewalk and shout Free Speech Free Speech and see what happens and what the local 15th Cir judge tells you.
I have absolutely no belief that any right is UNFETTERED, you stupid lying moron.
As to the headlights cases, lawyers I follow insist that this has been thoroughly established at the Federal Court level.

Blinding Oncoming Drivers:Flashing high beams directly at another driver at night can be illegal and dangerous, regardless of intent.
-
Obstructing Traffic/Police:If used to help criminals escape or significantly impede police activity, it could be problematic, though courts generally protect simple warnings.
There are indeed local yokels who will want to get you for not respecting their authority. It's why we need to know our rights.

@shooter Obstructing traffic and police. What’s more traffic laws and regs are enacted and administered by the states. As I said I encourage you to do those things and roll the dice. In fact get a massive light on your big wheel and go ride it down the sidewalk at Cityplace and see what happens.
Time, and time, and time, and time again, courts have ruled that simply giving a brief flick of the headlights to warn other drivers of a speed trap does not constitute obstruction, no matter what the Barney Fifes of the Police Academy want you to think. I even cited some of the case law, you dimwit. May a local yokel give you a ticket and make you fight it? Perhaps. Will you win the case? Almost certainly.

@shooter except that's not why they're blowing the whistles. They're doing it to disorient and impede officer communication just as much as "alert" their illegal neighbors. They probably contributed to getting Pretti killed by interfering with the officers ability to communicate. Oh well, you reap what you sow.
@shooter Try these things. I hope you do. It’ll be your first step out of the bubble.
"All" has majority support not just the criminals. And this is lefty Harvard so the real percentage is easily 55-60.

People like the idea of mass deportations, regardless of criminality, but don't like the visual and what that means in practice. It's similar to asking people "Do you think the government should spend less?" followed by "Do you think the SS eligibility age should be raised?".
Attempting to deport 20 million people (an impossible goal), that don't want to leave, flanked by their leftist agitator allies was always going to lead to some ugly images.

This is why they must make all who are here voters. Without those votes they can’t win…
@hurryinghoosiers The dumbing down of our country at breakneck speed. Those poor kids being dragged to that stupid shit. As dumb as the lady shot with a 5 year old at home. These are your IQ brethren Hickory.
