Rebuilding will not be fast, either. Get ready for a LONG occupation.

@boogie agreed. Letting the extensions expire or not renewing them was a mistake. And I would have focused on healthcare instead of tariffs. That said I think tariffs better comport with her personality and healthcare is "too big to fix." The complex that surrounds it is just massive. Some of the biggest companies in the U.S. are reliant on Medicare etc.
Went to the grocery store yesterday and took a hard pass on the $30/lb steaks, $11 per half gallon Blue Bell ice cream, $4 bread, $13 coffee (and not even premium brands). Picked up flour, sugar, and eggs to make bread. Picked up the off brand coffee that was buy one/get one. Took note in the checkout that candy bars are now over $3. Never noticed, since I stopped buying candy years ago, but product all around pricing is out of control and part of it is the tariff insanity.
Eggs were cheap though, since I guess Trump stamped out bird flu in his lab. dbm can find some twitter twits to confirm...
I paid $14.99/lb for New York Strips 3 weeks ago. Not cheap but not $30/lb
@boogie What has he done poorly? And explain it in comparison to what he was left. The biggest issue he had was making unrealistic promises regarding prices. He's tempered inflation, and deserves credit for it, but Biden left a consumer market of historic prices that are going to be difficult to bring down. Getting oil. Lowering gas will help.
Damn near everything has risen in prices. He overplayed tariffs and its hurt people.
People are worried about health care now. He's responsible for that. What's the Pubs health care plan again, give people money so they can go out and buy their own? Congrats, a family of four will have 1-2 months of their premiums paid for. After that, good luck.
You mess with people's money, people are going to react.
Letting COVID-emergency subsidies expire is a bad thing?
HSA’s that roll over are a really good thing.

When people depend on them and they are taken away without a way for them to afford healthcare, yes, that's a bad thing, especially when it comes to who's in charge and made that decision.
People vote with their wallets. If pubs go down the road that ending subsidies is actually a good thing for people, they're really gonna get roasted.

The subsidies have artificially increased the cost of insurance for everyone. Eliminating this small percentage is a start. Who’s paying the subsidies? It’s not the insurance companies.
I don't feel the need to take pictures in the store, but if you go to Publix online site at my zipcode
filet is $39.89 / lb.,
ribeye cuts range from $23-28 per pound,
Bluebell ice cream is $11.39 per half gallon,
Twix 3 oz. candy bars are $3.15,
store brand CHEAPEST ground coffee is $11.39 for 11.5 oz ( $15.85/pound),
store brand Columbian coffee is $18.29 for 12 oz ($24.39/pound),
Starbucks ground is on sale at $17.49 for 12 oz ($23.32/pound)
cheapest store-brand bread is $3.43 (wheat or white) per loaf, Nature's Own $4.87-5.49, Sara Lee $5.19, Pepperidge Farm $5.53, Arnold's $5.87...
I didn't lie about shit. Trump-anomics sucks

Don't these changes start happening AFTER the midterms?
I wonder why they're delaying it so long?

This was under Biden. Methinks so many categorizing you on here as a liar is not without basis. You are a liberal, and from your posting a radical lefty.
"The report revealed an annual inflation rate of 9.1 percent, the highest level since the intense period of economic crisis in the 1970s and early 1980s."
Do you wish to compare inflation between Biden and Trump? I'm having a hard time understanding what you claim as an "independent."
