@bradstevens Reminds me that you brought up it's about time for Ishiguro.

I saw that. Pretty fascinating.  They occupy a headspace that’s impossible to imagine, relate etc

@bradstevens Reminds me that you brought up it's about time for Ishiguro.

Yesterday’s news.  Longevity and immortality will come, if at all, through lab-grown organs and machined limbs; not human transplants.

But nature may provide a natural limit, the dementia incidence will likely be 100% at an age far before immortality.  Can a brain last forever? I don’t think so.

Putin’s interpreter could be heard saying in Chinese: “Biotechnology is continuously developing.”

That’s funny.  Russia’s contribution to biotechnology is zip.  Putin is really talking about the United Stares and Europe, I’m not sure about China.
