You good with Republicans wanting to federalize our elections, which includes the post office?

I am generally for smaller government, but in the case of federal elections, shouldn't we have some uniform standards around timing, process, etc.? I know there are guardrails, but why should Florida (notoriously slow in 2000, but now one of the fastest to report) and Pennsylvannia be so different in approach?

What do you mean by the post office?

Either we believe in state rights or we don't.

I'm for the states...  if I don't like where I live and how they run things, I'm free to move.

You are generally aligned with the Constitution. But how do you grapple with the fact that state-controlled election processes differ materially, which inherently will impact results? More importantly, what about states with slower or less accurate reporting and their impact on the federal government? The obvious example is the Presidency, but Senate and House elections have implications too, depending on how close things are.

States all have different processes for how they handle their elections.  Some count as votes arrive, some the day of.

States don't actually count all their votes night of, never have, never will.  Races are called, but not all the votes are counted.

If we had the transfer of power two weeks after an election, sure, I'd be with you.  There's two months though between election day and inauguration day.  I don't think a rush to count votes in a singular fashion is high on my personal want list.

@oneeyedundertaker Did President Trump lose the 2020 election due to voter fraud?

If people of your intellect or with your levels of TDS are counting votes or verifying signatures it’s possible.😆

Just a reminder, 600<700.

Only morons think it’s possible.

Do you have a degree? Ever take advanced math classes?

The morons are the people that think they know factually that it was or wasn’t.  Smart folks can acknowledge vulnerabilities in the system without stating it’s why Trump lost & see enough anomalies in the voting to remain open minded about it.  Not proving something impossible to prove doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, but carry on being the poster child for Dunning-Kruger…

I have taken advanced enough classes to know that 600<700, but then again, so has my child.  What’s your excuse?

So we have people insisting that paper ballots be hand counted, but not before the polls close, and we need the results in time for the Today show the next morning. SMFH

Governments have rigged elections before.  Of course it's possible.

Who said we need paper ballots? I'd be in favor of moving to electronic ones. Instantaneous.
