It looks like there are a ton of places you can't carry just based on state laws. Some make sense, some are another way to stop people from protecting themselves due to fear of breaking a law. Just the idea that a law-abiding citizen can't carry while using public transportation is ridiculous. No state preemption, so Chicago can create it's own restrictions. No reciprocation with any other states is pretty telling also.
Places you can't carry based on state law:
