Speaking of WWII, they're still finding and disposing of unexploded ordinance. I saw some in Saipan and Guam but didn't see any in Okinawa. I've been there too many times to count and as much as they destroy in Okinawa every year it's miracle I didn't see any there.

They are still finding 150 tons of WW1 shells in Belgium, still more in France. It makes since, everything in WW1 after September of 1914 was trench based. Trenches could be collapsed, burying munitions (and men).
