No it’s not. There are very good reasons why the FF’s mentioned the media in the First Amendment. Now, 250 years later, the media doesn’t have a fucking clue. Media’s deliberate dereliction, bias, and incompetency helped deliver to the American people three of the biggest governmental policy failures in our history; the climate crisis and green energy fiasco, the Covid panic, and the Biden mental failure coverup. There are scores of less pronounced media failures such has putting their thumb on election scales.
Social and alternative media is way ahead of legacy media in all respects. Facts and news is reported that legacy media is too lazy to dig out, or suppresses in order to further a bias. Of course not all social media is trustworthy, but that’s okay. We can make our own decisions about what is correct. It really isn’t that difficult.

Life was certainly more simple with less media to consume and fewer ways to do so, but here we are. For nearly my entire life legacy media has had at least some bias, but it's gotten worse as time has gone on. And with alternative media out there realizing that occupying the space that legacy media mostly ignores as the best way to establish it's own foothold, the rifts between us grew exponentially larger. So yes we have a plethora of options when it comes to what we consume and how we consume it, and as such we are much more informed...yet simultaneously more misinformed.
