The campaign begins in earnest on Thursday. Will there be a call to arms?
Here's a free version.
Why on earth would pubs need to cheat. The other party are terrorist fans, defund police, open borders, and steal the money of those who work to fund government programs that don’t work. If pubs can’t curb stomp Dems the country we love is gone
That particular article is nothing special. Numerous others cover the same ground.
The point is that Trump is making it official, and that his lies about 2020 will serve as the predicate for whatever illegal or extralegal craziness comes out of the Republicans' election losses.
All signs point to significant gains for the Dems in the midterms. That prospect probably bothers Trump almost as much as a full diaper. So, yes, I think Uncle Mark is correct. The "start the steal" campaign will launch in earnest during Trump's national address later this week.
Several weeks ago, when Trump named inexperienced and unqualified Bill Pulte the direction of national intelligence, he suggested he was deploying Pulte (who had already proven to be a faithful lapdog with his "mortgage fraud" referrals) to investigate election fraud. At the time, I made the prediction (a prediction that wasn't particularly bold) that there was a good chance Pulte's real mission was to find or concoct an instance (or instances) of foreign interference as a pretext for declaring a national emergency that would allow Trump to interfere in a variety of ways that could stop the vote in certain districts, stop the counting of votes or otherwise interfere with the election process. I continue to believe there's a good chance that happens. In any event, the period from October (when early voting begins) through and beyond the scheduled installation of the new Congress on January 3 will almost certainly be another test of our democratic underpinnings.
Keep this going @unclemark. Trump's efforts in this regard have only just begun.
