Once again, this is not the thread, and you're wrong. First, who the f*ck actually looks at likes and shit? Sorry, apparently, you do and that seems to me that you must be severely insecure. Second, I believe what I liked was a post saying that we should wait to see what the real story was - I'll always do that as the first reports are usually wrong. And I liked the post about the thread being stupid, I think. Well, sorry, it was. It was all about you spiraling out over the picture, which I agreed was inappropriate IF it happened during the ceremony. Finally, 9/11 and each anniversary make me angry. I had left my fifth ship just a few months before 9/11 and after 9/11 I called my detailer to ask if he could get me out to sea on another one. Of course, it didn't work that way, everything is on schedules, so I stayed in my job as Chief of Staff for an organization that trained Sailors and Officers for the war. We trained the shit out of them. It really was a good time to be there. Don't dare talk about to me about 9/11 and caring about it or proper behavior during ceremonies. You're way out of your league here.
I'm sure I'd get along great with any Vietnam vets in your family. I'm a member of AMVETS and VFW and get along with Vietnam vets regularly. We veterans generally get along very well with each other.
