One of a kind. I guess I'm impressed he made it to 76.
Legend...RIP
A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"
They just played the last Black Sabbath show July 5. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2019 and they had to bring him out in a chair for the show. I'm guessing he probably assumed he didn't have much time.
Crazy all these rock stars are still performing in the 70s and 80s. Being in your 70s and 80s doesn't have to be what it used to be. Unless you're president of the United States. Then you're still old as dirt.
@noodle Amazing that he performed just a little over two weeks ago on the 5th of July for last Black Sabbath show.

Are you going to deny that Biden and Trump have no business running this country (ignore politics, just focus on mental capacity)?
The crazier phenomenon is that young, seemingly healthy people die all of the time at much younger ages. They do everything right. Then you have these rock stars that are huge drug abusers, live a wild lifestyle and live to or past the average.
Legend. hearing him talk about his old bulldogs hit me right in the heart
WAR PIGS is dedicated to Gilligan and Crescent...truly Pigs of War , with lesser kudos to Joe HyperboleLegend...RIP

Genetics play a huge role. Obviously living a healthy lifestyle is equally important but some of us just have good genes and are sort of destined to live longer than others imo. Of course Ozzy might have seen triple digits if he hadn't been doing hard drugs and drinking vodka for most of his life.

No, that's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying the last two presidents are old and should have been put out to pasture.
Some of these aging rock stars - Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, et al - are still going reasonably strong. Being in their 80s is very different than what it has been for Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
I just learned not too long ago, that I may be non-blood related to the Osborne’s! A distant cousin or something. We found out that both my step dad and Ozzy Osbourne are distant relatives of the infamous outlaw Jesse James. So someone in that ancestry.com thing connects. Rip.
Saw Ozzy on his Diary of a Madman tour, August of 1981 at the Mesker Music Amphitheater, in Evansville, Indiana. I was 16 and drove an hour to see him, and Def Leppard, by myself because none of my friend’s parents would let them go.
Saw him again at Nashville’s Starwood Amphitheatre, in 1996.
Ozzy had a knack for putting great bands/players together. That ‘96 show featured Joe Holmes on guitar, just remember being blown away by his effortless playing.
RIP
Maybe he will find out if all that ghost stuff is true, on that show he was on with his wife about paranormal stuff.
