The notion that some people are born bad, and society should simply hang these people to cull genes from being passed on, brings up an interesting subject. This subject being recidivism rates and which prison rehabilitation programs provide lower rates.

Without discounting legitimate issues there were with Joe Biden being fit for office, I'm stunned that so many people who had the pitchforks out for him are so quiet about Trump's clear issues.
C Probert here in Indiana a 12 year old, bad actor or not, cannot legally carry a gun. However, he can hunt, go to target practice, or carry on family property if under the supervision of an adult.
IMO a 12 year old having experienced the handling of a weapon might feel confident going downtown with young companions while carrying a gun without the approval of parents.
Other than sneaking the gun out of the house without permission, the kid isn't a bad kid. The prime motive in his actions isn't to cause harm to someone, but instead he is concerned about his safety knowing he will be confronting other youngsters with weapons.
Getting back to the thread, if the kid in my post is arrested for any reason while in the possession of a gun, what should the consequences be?
By the way, I think there are way too many weapons being carried by good and bad actors of all ages.

what do i think the fix is? if i were king for a day
1) vote red in urban areas. no more woke dems. they're enablers.
2) gun charges high bonds and harsh sentences
3) make an effort to charge as many kids as adults as possible
4) charge the parents too
remedies:
these kids. 12 years old are rolling with big groups out to the burbs and spending all night breaking into cars, stealing. let's do a one time infusion of cash to the hoods with strict conditions: school enrollment, parenting class, father involvement incentives, piss tests, no convictions, means tested, job app requirements, etc. instead of these endless welfare programs that kick the can get em cash. instead of a voucher for public transit that doesn't go everywhere the cash for a down payment on a car. let them have no limits to where they can apply for jobs. level the playing ground and that's cash. do it for five years and see how cities look.
more cops, harsher sentences, more money available, not programs.
