@dbmhoosier Dbm who threw in the towel?

The Pubs. Kush is trying to keep a lid on what's in store for them after the Dems take over the House.

They aren’t waiting until November to lose the House…it’s happening right now. +8 For Democrats on polymarket

House is a foregone conclusion. Chances in the Senate are slim but it's not a pipe dream either. If the Democrats take the Senate, Trump will go berserk. It will be like Crayfish in the Oval Office.

This one has a chance because he's running against Paxton. He'd have no chance against Cornyn. Republican primary voters are nuts.

That clown has no chance.

@goat ya think?  If he doesn’t end up on a sex offender registry by the time he’s dead I’ll be shocked.  He’s like a Duggar family freak

where are the normal people?!

I didn't even watch that stupid video. I don't care. This isn't about anything that was posted here. He just weirds me out.

I agree. Something is off

They've thrown in the towel.

https://twitter.com/PollTracker2024/status/2091524197713424584

Trump has a net-negative approval rating in 47 states.

His problems are mostly self-inflicted: trade wars, the war in Iran, unprecedented corruption, appearing out-of-touch (for example, calling affordability, which he ran on, a "hoax." When people can't make ends meet, they're not falling for the "it's a hoax" bullshit).

Because of Trump, the midterms will be brutal for the party.

Peggy Noonan ran an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal a couple of days ago, titled "The Art of the Self-Deal."  It's behind a paywall, but here are some highlights:

"Republicans, God bless them, were split on whether graft under Mr. Trump has gotten worse or better or stayed the same, which makes that polling question a case study in how bright people are capable of not seeing what they don't want to see."

"An odd thing about all this is the absence of furor.  There is no broad public outcry.  Why? Because corruption is a constant and 'the other side is dirty too.'  Because the scandal threshold has skyrocketed."

"He never sold himself as a man of moral rectitude, and most supporters didn't think that's what they were buying. Jimmy Carter's shaking down the system to see what coins fall out would have been news.  Donald Trump's doing the same is Tuesday.

"And there's the sheer scale. The extraordinary becomes the ordinary through repetition; scandals add up and become a blur, not a call to action. But the country pays a cost for all this. Institutionally, everything happening today sets a precedent. Every abuse we accept widens the range of possible misbehavior for the next administration."

A podcast appearance 3 years ago and misleading tweet about what he said on that podcast is all they have on him.

He is pandering but listen to the entire answer, in context. It's not "trans people" full stop. It's specific, anecdotal and fresh in his mind.

"I love, I'm just saying this because it's on my mind, the trans children who showed up yesterday at the state capitol to advocate for their humanity".

Ken Paxton is an absolute piece of shit human being. It's sad that this race is even this close.

Probably true if Cornyn was the GOP nominee, but nominating Paxton instead has made it close according to the polls. If the Dem wins this, we can point the finger directly at MAGA. No way should Paxton have beaten Cornyn and put this in doubt.

Sitting at 50/50 in the prediction markets as of today. Mainly based upon Paxton being a lowlife shithead felon.

It is interesting how many who opposed "the swamp" are excited about openly corrupted politicians.

Dems are shitting themselves over this.  But why would they be?  It's just a simple common sense internal control to ensure duplicate ballots aren't sent out and they go to the right voter. @co-hoosier any thoughts on why they're afraid?

@dbmhoosier This isn't the final word and, by itself, doesn't change much of anything.

Pubs are going to take a beating in November because of Trump.  Try as he might, he can't prevent that from happening.

I can't imagine why anyone would ever question our elections.

Also how Trump “draining the swamp” left Trump dripping with the swamp scum.

Hilarious.  Your tweet includes a link that completely undercuts your argument.

The California justices, at oral argument, suggested Bianco overstepped his authority in seizing the 600,000+ ballots.

Here's what you do.  You see these tweets and excitedly post them without digging deeper or even simply reading everything that's within the post. But, sadly, you've got plenty of lazy, uninformed company.

After so much losing by Trump and his endorsed candidates he gets a victory in South Carolina.

Trump gets a much-needed South Carolina win and other takeaways from Tuesday’s elections

How Senator D Graham votes if elected (almost certain) will not be a mystery. It'll be 100 percent exactly what Trump wants even if it's not really in the best interests of South Carolina.
