@mcm666 i haven't notice her getting bigger, but why would that really matter in terms of anything important?
Because MAGA care about the important things in their politicians
Cheating on wife and committing sexual assualt is ok
Being gay is not ok
Being a racist dictator is ok
Being fat is not ok (unless you're orange at the same time)
If by some miracle they were to get someone with some common sense to run for president next cycle (Beshear, I’m looking at you), I think the left would have a more then good chance at winning as well. I don’t have faith in that though, so we’ll see what happens
I'm with you in waiting to see what happens, but in this politically divisive climate, the incumbent party is going to have an uphill battle in presidential elections.
@boogie it shouldn’t but I think being young and cute is an important part of her brand.
Warren and Bernie are pretty popular with the left. Not sure how much age and looks has to do with it.
There's already a (Bill) Clintonish Dem in the White House, but these fucks are too partisanly TDS'd to realize it.
I mean, I'll give Aloha some credit here...the old GOP was hijacked by a slightly more Nationalistic Clinton. Other than that, they're basically the same dude.
@boogie Sounds good but does he have any policy plans? Newsom may look good, but his policies have been disastrous.
@dbmhoosier i think that's the point. warren doesn't have nearly the following of aoc yet they're saying the same shit
@ribbont nationally that I've heard him speak on, no, I don't know. He was on Rogan's pod and was a guy that had common sense, which the left needs right now. He said on the pod that he's set to become a pastor once be gets done with seminary.
It would a good conversation.
NJ Governors race a a dead heat. Could bode well for Republicans if they pull it out. VA looks less likely.
Holy moly. And you're seeing massive Republican gains almost everywhere. PA will likely be Republican by the mid terms. Dems were around +1000000 in 2016.

What’s the plan for replacing TPUSA’s turnout game? It was a real electoral weapon that could be taken off the board. Presler can’t do it all alone.
I know TPUSA goes on, even grows. Kirk’s wife I’m sure can administer it effectively as the new CEO. But eventually this groundswell in the wake of the assassination will fade and it will they need a face.
Milo?
Posobiec?
Who will lead us?

This was before the assassination. Dems are in trouble.

To answer OP's question, traditional old-school Democratic policies are still broadly popular with the American voter. And even a few of the policies that would have been considered "woke" at one time have become mainstream (gay rights, e.g.). The party will have to move to the center on crime and immigration, for sure, but simply highlighting traditional Democratic economic planks should do well, especially if the cost of living crisis is still ongoing (last quarter, wages grew slower than spending, which is unsustainable). For the Dems to win big in the midterms, two things need to be true:
1. People are still worried about cost of living.
2. The early entrants into the nomination discussion include at least some moderates with broad appeal.
For the Dems to then parlay that into a possible victory in 2028, they will need one of those early entrants to hold off any far-left attack to become the nominee.
"I agree we need to protect your job from overseas. Companies shouldn't be able to so easily outsource your job to someone 12 time zones away. But it's not enough to protect American jobs - we also need to strengthen them and armor them against corporate greed, and make it so the American worker earns enough to buy the things they need, which Trump and the Republicans have been unable to deliver the past four years."
A message like that is a winner, if it's delivered by someone believable. For many reasons, I don't think Newsom is that guy, although the new anti-Trump Newsom in troll clothes is fun as hell, I have to admit. Obviously, lefties like AOC aren't that guy. I really think it needs to be a Beshear or Shapiro or someone like that, to really pull off that messaging with some sincerity.
I'm not confident the Dems can bring themselves to do the smart thing, but I'm also confident the GOP will be unable to solve our many problems before the next election cycle, so the opportunity will be there if the Dems don't insist on scoring an own goal.
