@mrhighlife so just the interview you find weird then? What could possibly give Trump the idea that a letter in which the guy said he wanted to kill all the administration officials he could, because of their pedophilia and raping, was actually talking about his administration and himself? It's not as if every shitlib in the country has been calling him a pedo for months now.
That's actually the fascinating thing about the letter to his family. It's not all that deranged. Hell you, Shooter, lurker and Butch write more deranged stuff on here daily. Rather his words are standard left wing fare and his actions the natural result of mainstream left wing discourse.
As a general note, just to get it on the record, I find the people throwing out conspiracies about this being a staged assassination to get the ballroom built to be just as dumb and idiotic as those who were promoting the pedophile pizza basements thing. People who believe that need to get together with the flat earthers and have a nice party. I'll be happy to cater, make sure you try the Kool-aid.

There are people who believe these crazy conspiracies, but most just repeat them to create a narrative. Unfortunately people with mental health issues don't discern well. So they really believe these bizarre theories.
And it's the far left and far right that push the bizarre theories.
I read that no one was required to show ID to get in, just a ticket. Hmm.
Sheesh, what a world. You need to show an id to vote but don't need one to get rid of some of the options on the ballot?

That depends on the nature of the ticket as to whether that's a problem. The ticket might be more of a credential, with the guest's picture on it (like passes to get to VIP areas at Super Bowls) and barcoded. For an event like this, to be issued a ticket you likely would also have passed some sort of background check.

You're angry and humorless, RamRod. Let's try this . . .
A professor was giving a lecture on involuntary muscular contractions to his first-year medical students. Realizing that this was not the most riveting subject, he decided to lighten the mood. He pointed to a young woman in the front row and asked, "Do you know what your asshole is doing while you're having an orgasm?" She replied, "He's probably playing golf with his friends."

Yeah, but the Trump people are using this to promote the ballroom, now claiming it's all about "security." They're sure not going to waste the opportunity this has presented.
@shooter this claims to be the ticket:
Interesting. So that probably gets you through the front door of the hotel, security step 1.
I am guessing that the shooter had no ticket, but as a hotel guest was able to bypass that step. I wonder if the magnetometers were step 2, or further down the line. I would also assume that if you go through all of the security steps outside the ballroom you would need to have the ticket at the entrance to the ballroom to be shown to the right table.

My point was more the requirements for even better than Real ID to vote, but no ID check at all there (assuming what I read is accurate).
As to the security, wasn't he recently at an MMA event in a large arena? Are they moving those to the ballroom too?
He shouldn't be going to those.@shooter this claims to be the ticket:

We've now had three attempts on the life of a candidate and now President. He needs to be more careful. I don't see the opposition tamping down on their rhetoric any time soon. Like it or not, he's the duly elected President of the United States. He needs to be protected. Seems like assassination attempts are becoming normalized now w/r/t Trump. Ugly stuff.
