Insecure about President Trump and MAGA. You take any and all criticism of the President personally, as if you're related. Reagan was my favorite President, and I never felt that way when Democrats and some of the press went after him. Same with GHWB (most underrated President in my lifetime) and GWB. Sure, I argued in support of them, but the way MAGAs take everything personally concerning Trump is new and different and it's frankly disturbing to me.Insecure about what? It ever occur to you that much of this was brought on by President Trump himself? The document case and election interference cases were legitimate, and those crimes deserved investigation, indictments and trial. However, no worries, he's above the law now that he's President again. He'll never be prosecuted. He pardoned the J6ers and that did piss me off. That included those convicted of assaulting Police. Like all Republicans except many MAGA Republicans, I support the blue.
I don't hate President Trump, I see him very clearly for what he is.
Government shutdowns are always complicated. I've lived through them while in the military. No one's hands are ever clean for government shutdowns. I'm no Democrat, but I don't see them as evil enemies, I see them as fellow Americans with ideas I generally oppose. Seeing the opposition (Democrats, and apparently non-MAGA Republicans who share most of the same policies but don't adore President Trump) as evil enemies rather than fellow Americans is also new, different and disturbing.
By the way, I've already made it clear that I like and support the President's efforts to end the Hamas-Israeli war, and I said that he's doing something I don't think a President Harris could do. Why would you take a shot at me about this when I support it the same as you do?

The ceasefire and hostage for prisoner swap were the easiest parts. The rest of the 20 point plan will be very difficult. I hope it's achieved.

I am thrilled that Trump helped get this peace deal done.
It seems to me that the key turning point was Israel's decision to attack Qatar. Since Trump and his family have so many HUGE personal economic interests in Qatar (golf courses hotels, property, etc.), that got him finally ticked off enough at Bibi to says that this has to end. Even if driven by self-interest, it is a GREAT OUTCOME, assuming it sticks.
