Based on how he’s handle Ukraine, what could go wrong?
Not sure what you're bitching about on Ukraine. He's tried almost everything other than starting WW3. I want him to pull us out completely but that probably won't happen. It's Biden's mess and Trump has done all he can to clean it up.
oh stop that bullshit. It’s Trumps war. Became his really early on when he picked the wrong side and wasted all that time carrying water for Putin.
And history will likely frame the Gaza war as his war too. If this goes to shit, and it very likely will, we’ll remember why presidents of both parties used to keep Israel in check.

How is Ukraine or Gaza “Trump’s war?” That makes no sense.
Push back on blame for Biden all you want but saying they are due to Trump is bizarre.

History will decide which presidents are associated with these wars. Not trump via tweets, or DBM.
Biden shit the bed on Afghanistan pull out. All him. He also had Iran all wrong though the efforts of the old guard certainly helped isolate them and led them to their current diminished state.
Trump decided to treat Ukraine as an equal aggressor for 9 months and chose to let Israel run wild for same. If he gets good deals done, he’s the man and will be remember as such. If these drag into forever wars, I don’t think history will be kind to him.
It isn't winning. Muslims are always ready for a peace deal when you are standing on their throat with a sword pointed between their eyes. "Peace" to them is only tactical pauses to rearm and then start the fight again when they feel the chances at victory are more advantageous to them. They were chanting "Khaybar, Khaybar oh you Jews" in the street yesterday.
This wasn't a win, it is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory so that we can repeat this whole episode at some point in the future when the Palestinians carry out another already promised October 7. The only way this is ever going to be over is when the Israelis crush the Palestinians and drive them from the land (if you are secular, if you are religious, it isn't happening until Jesus himself comes back after this conflict has drug the entire world into the abyss...)
@iucrazy2 Wrong. The hostages are being returned - That's a win. Everyday there is no fighting - That's a win. Getting food and water to the people of Gaza - That's a win. Getting everyone to sign the deal - That's a win.
I understand your point that long term, this peace deal may not last. But this deal is a win, although it could only be temporary.

Getting the hostages back is about the only win I would recognize. All the rest was short of total capitulation by the Palestinians which means all of the death and destruction was a waste. You still haven't resolved the issue. We are so humanitarian these days that we'd prefer to kill 10,000 people every year for 50 years as opposed to letting 200,000 die now and just get it over with. Yeah, 500,000 is more than 200,000 but look at all of the "wins" we have accumulated over those past 50 years along with the casualties. (Those are made up numbers to illustrate a point).
And it isn't only this conflict where this happens. The major powers do this through proxy wars all over the planet and have been since 1945.

Part of that is because we don’t want to witness the big carnage and can sweep the ongoing deaths under the rug, so to speak. But another reason is epistemic uncertainty about any future events. We can’t be as certain about those future deaths (the certainty inversely related to the amount of time in the future something might happen) and so it is rational to discount them.
