I would offer that the cases aren’t in any way equivalent. One was an out of control drug addict shouting “I can’t breathe” from the first instant they came into contact with the police. The police attempted to put him in the back of a squad car, he threw a fit, kicked glass and demanded he be laid on the ground. The officer on scene used a department approved restraint and placed a knee on his upper back/ neck.
It’s a manslaughter case, at best, all day long in my book. Even if you don’t agree the circumstances surrounding that death are far different from those involving Kirk. There’s no question to intent.
Kirk’s shooter left evidence, killed a guy in a pre-mediated fashion, in cold blood.

It has to do with the fact that Floyd was killed by cops, and Kirk wasn't. You get killed by cops, the odds of a protest skyrocket exponentially.
