are poised to absolutely take off this March. After millions of dollars and years of setbacks. March will be the start of something big for me. So what are we thinking for Russian plague lockdowns? Start in late January? Carry on the remainder of 27?
I read we sent a doctor over to investigate so that that guy can bring it back.
Where's Fauci?
You've never seen them both in the room at the same time.@unclemark and shooter!!!!!!
Morally Flexible. Kinda.
I saw an interview with an expert on TV and she said that it's a bacterial infection, not viral. Also, one that is treatable by widely available existing antibiotics. Drug resistant variants are not yet known, though of course they could develop if there is more spread. That would be the point to worry, but as of now there is no reason to be anywhere near as concerned as if it were another novel / untreatable respiratory virus.
No offense intended but without having direct access to the body and/or the deceased final lab work how the hell would she know that?
I had a health care professional that I would ordinarily trust tell me during the first weeks of the COVID outbreak, and I qoute : “Don’t worry we’ve seen this type of virus before and we know how to deal with it.” A few days later I heard another “pro” say basically same thing… They were both completely full of it…
Just based on the reported actions of the Russians on the ground in the immediate area it seems obvious that they have a high level of concern that whatever this is it could be serious…
We’d be foolish not to treat it as a potential bioengineered weaponized enhanced version of pneumonic plague that might not be treatable by the normal drugs available…
WHO’s rapid dismissal of the issue doesn’t give me much comfort either based on their COVID track record…
”Don’t worry nothing to see here…” (while the Russians scramble to cordon off the area doesn’t do much to inspire confidence in their ability to A) deal with the situation, or B) tell the truth about what’s actually happened/happening.)
Drug resistant variants are not yet known, though of course they could develop if there is more spread.
So a 28 year old lab worker at a Siberian "anti-plague research institute" contracts "a severe pneumonia of unknown origin" @ said institute, dies from it and consequently a few hundred people have been put under observation/quarantine in response. The scenario anywhere is worrisome enough, that it happened in Russia induces higher than typical pucker factor.
A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"
Fauci is reporting that this probably came from a Siberian frozen market.

We’ll probably find out 6 years from now that he had found a way to finance their”research”. 😉🤬😵💫😡
@single_king well im not missing out on this mother fucker. garage is wall to wall toilet paper and i've got boxes of every kind of mask known to man on the way.

No offense intended but without having direct access to the body and/or the deceased final lab work how the hell would she know that?
Are you asing how would she know that pneumonic plague is caused by a bacteria? The google machine tells me that's been known for >100 years. Yersinia pestis. So if the Russians are describing the disease properly as pneumonic plague, that much is true.
I had a health care professional that I would ordinarily trust tell me during the first weeks of the COVID outbreak, and I qoute : “Don’t worry we’ve seen this type of virus before and we know how to deal with it.” A few days later I heard another “pro” say basically same thing… They were both completely full of it…
They were full of it, for sure, since from day 1 it was called a novel coronavirus, i.e., one never seen before and one with no known proven treatment agents. Your health care professionals were making stuff up and were unethical, even if well-intended and trying to make you less worried.
Without more inside knowledge I would compare this more to Legionnaires' disease, another deadly bacterial infection, than to COVID. The difference? I think there's better /deeper knowledge on how to treat bacterial infections as opposed to viral infections. But is it deadly? Yes.
.We’d be foolish not to treat it as a potential bioengineered weaponized enhanced version of pneumonic plague that might not be treatable by the normal drugs available…
For sure. It is imperative that we demand and get info from the Russians as to how the person got infected, with exactly what, and what treatments if any were tried and failed. If they have isolated the bacterium, is it "normal" Yersinia pestis?
