Islamism is certainly a dangerous ideology that runs counter to US security interests. But there is no demographic shift of a size remotely necessary to make our European partners less reliable or to threaten our own national direction. That's a dramatic overreaction.
I could understand the USA wanting to purchase Greenland, if Denmark was at all willing to sell it. And that's despite the fact that the agreements in place already allow the US to do whatever they want with military bases. We apparently want the mineral rights.
But it's really bizarre starting from the angle of "we will take Greenland by force if necessary, unless you sell it to us".
