Any Dems want to change their mind on who should control it?

No, Greenland should control Greenland. I posted a poll above, they want to be independent. Second choice is to stay Danish. Third is American. Why are you ignoring their desire?

Was there a vote when we ended up with Alaska?

NATO can't? Even if the US leaves NATO, who could take it? The Russians have lost their Black Sea fleet to Ukraine, and a lot of men. In modern warfare one cannot invade without air superiority, they ain't getting it.

Russia has been justifiably aggressive in pushing back against US-led Western encroachment but why don’t you give us Greenland for the money we spent defending you against the aggressive pushback we just told you we instigated?

Quite an ask.

Did we force Russia to sell that land? If Denmark wanted to sell Greenland, maybe. They have said they do not want to. Denmark passed a law in 2009 to allow independence through a referendum. Did Alaska have a pathway to independence?

If this was all 100% voluntary, that would be different. If I showed you a gun and suggested you should give me your car, is that voluntary? Once he discussed invasion, and he has, it is all tainted. Or we need to rewrite our carjacking laws.

Given the trajectory of Europe’s demographics they will not be reliable allies within a decade or two anyway, unless Dems get their way with unfettered Muslim immigration in which case we’ll be right there with them.  I wonder if that realization plays into this?

It was a simple question. I’m with you on this. Don’t be shooter

Hopefully, the people making these decisions aren't stupid enough to think this is a genuine concern.

Give them Minnesota in exchange.

We also get to keep @jdb.  He's ours.

Stupidity is a failure to recognize that this indeed a threat.  You don’t have to take my word for it, this article by the extreme right wing Stanford University Hoover Institution acknowledges as much in thus article.  I’m sure it’s difficult to comprehend the ramifications of your party’s recent policies, but it’s important that all of you understand this & not reject these ideas due to who they come from.  Your ignorance is a danger to us all.  I’ll be very interested to get your take on their conclusions & why they are stupid, but something tells me you’ll bail out as you often do when you’ve been refuted…

There was no one talking about imperialism before Trump.  It is not a policy the United States has supported after the stabilization of the world post WWII.  And when I say "United States" I am speaking of the people of USA who believe in a democratic Republic for and by the people.

Trump's statement this morning claiming cause and effect of not receiving a Nobel Peace Prize as a rationalization for a hostile takeover of another country is beyond unhinged, it is deranged,  and it shows me he will not be in office for 4 years.

The problem with narcissism is the degree to which the afflicted will go to try to fill the void.  Endless.  Such a terrible mental illness.

With regard to the NATO alliance, the prevention of Russian (or anyone else's) aggression was the goal of forming an alliance with European nations.

Attacking and hostile takeover of Greenland would destabilize the NATO alliance and increase Putin's grip on former Soviet States.

This is a pretty simple and obvious understanding we had here in America during Eisenhower's term.  You remember Dwight D. Eisenhower?  The Republican American President who galvanized the resolve and leadership of NATO in the wake of the Paris Peace treaties?

Where did you go Republican party?  Where is the conservative leadership that understands alliance?

Trump is a rogue.  He's a pathologic narcissist who does not put anyone's interests ahead of his petty own.  Its unbelievable to see the conservative party abandon all of their principles to follow this dictator.

But the DNC has worked EXTENSIVELY to not only Bring in, but Group up Somali's to concur a once wholesome area. The DNC snake oild USAID to bring on the worst of latin America to concur a voter block.

Smart people don't require finding a snake skin to know that there is a serpent playing within your own rules to over through you. DNC is the most modern Trojan horse ever. For fucks sake, Waltz was almost a Command Sergent Major, almost VPotus, and now a few months later is perfectly staged to be in prison until he dies!

That is the level of evil of the DNC. We are at war, if anyone wants to say it out loud or not.

If men were any more stupid, we would have breed for the extinction of women. Proof yet again that WE are the best thing they have going for them.

Islamism is certainly a dangerous ideology that runs counter to US security interests. But there is no demographic shift of a size remotely necessary to make our European partners less reliable or to threaten our own national direction. That's a dramatic overreaction.

To give some numbers.

France had Islamic possessions for a long time, so people have been coming in for a long time. The current population of France is 10% Islamic. Of course not nearly all 10% are Islamists.

Germany is roughly 6.5%. Same for UK.
