@snarlcakes well we’re cooked at midterms and in lame duck mode. What I would like to see is the party devote the next two years to getting Ilhan. Oh and periodically bring fauci back and scream at him. Put some points on the board. 🙏🙌🤝

You gave up on us when Trump pointed out the Haitians might be eating cats and dogs. We haven't lost yet. I do like the idea of periodically yelling at little Fauci. Maybe throw in Little Messi as well?
Just to cheer you up, I sent in my ballot today. Voted for one non-Republican (although it’s an unaffiliated city council seat). Otherwise GOP top to bottom. Florida’s not going woke any time soon…
Trump wants the election to be all about him. Good idea?

Midterm turnout is a curious phenomenon. It’s typically so low percentagewise that the most solid blue or solid red region could flip simply by turnout alone.
At this point, I don’t see how Trump‘s rallies can hurt GOP turnout or change anybody’s mind about who they’re voting for. I would think there are only two possibly Consequential effects of his rallies. One, increase turnout for the Democrats, which I think is unlikely. Two, increase turnout of Trump‘s base, Which I think is conceivable and can only work in favor of Republican candidates.
Well, I went and voted @ the county courthouse today. It was pretty quick, only a few folks in line in front of me, so was in and out in about 10-15 minutes. My county is very red so only the few statewide races on the ballot had multiple choices. The vast majority were local races with Republicans running unopposed and Judges vote to retain or not.
A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"

Midterms are generally viewed as a referendum on the incumbent, but I think that's even more true this election cycle as affordability is the biggest issue for voters, and prices are clearly linked to Trump's war and Trump's tariffs.
The party in power almost always takes a hit in the midterms, but Trump's policies as they relate to prices and inflation will make it worse. In a sense, then, it is all about him.
The House is lost. Dems will have a healthy majority of between of 230 and 233 seats. The Senate may still be salvageable for the GOP, but the fact that they're conceding races in NC and GA and pouring money into traditionally safe states is not a good sign.
Maybe the President 86'd the livestreamed execution because most Americans for political reasons. Most Americans, including most Republicans, oppose it. Only 31 percent of Republicans said they were in favor of it (the rest not sure).
Majority of Americans oppose public executions: poll
I'd bet that redoing that poll now that President Trump ended it and there won't be 31 percent in favor.

Probably 51-52 GOP but 50-50 is a possibility
Halperin on who Republican strategists may blame if it’s a very bad outcome for Republicans:
“A Republican wipeout would thus produce a comprehensive Trump indictment: his unpopularity, his indiscipline, his economic decisions, his foreign entanglements, his family’s enrichment and his apparently inexhaustible interest in attaching his name to things. Trump’s cheerleading for AI and data centers is hurting Republicans, too, alienating voters who see higher electric bills and threats to their jobs where he sees a glorious future.”
