Can't find the Brennan and Comey thread, but this will do because the Trump DoJ and the DoD, sadly, is in fact conducting lawfare against political opponents. Kelly being the DoD entry into lawfare. However, this is about Comey. Apparently, the President won't let the DoJ give up it's outrageous abuse of the justice system against Comey. People on the left don't care much about him because they still blame him for HRC's loss in 2016, MAGAs want him prosecuted because his relationship with Trump soured. Either way it's outrageous lawfare against Comey and the DoJ hasn't given up even though they have no chance for a successful prosecution. They continue to waste government resources and taxpayer money on it.

The lawfare against Senator Mark Kelly has greatly increased Kelly’s profile and may be a huge political mistake by the President and Hegseth. There isn’t a chance in hell Kelly would be convicted in a Court-Martial of anything and the mere threat of it likely assures Kelly’s re-election by a large margin and may help make him a Presidential candidate.

I've explained that I don't think the video should have been done and why, but nothing about it was illegal. It was politics. The President's response to it was pretty much insane, and I do think it's among many things that are pushing his favorability ratings down to their lowest ever. He's only above water among Republicans and even that isn't something to brag about. He's not going to help Republicans, unless things change significantly, in the midterms. Mark Kelly has a great resume and is actually moderate. He'd probably be a Republican if he hadn't married a Democratic Representative who was shot. Even with that he's for the 2A, but with reasonable restrictions. I'm for some of those restrictions myself. I have never voted for a Democrat for Senator in my life, but now that I'm an Arizona Resident it's quite possible that I'll vote for Kelly. I'm done voting for MAGA Republicans for anything, which I did even in 2024.
Disappointing. Mark Kelley is every bit as bad as you think MAGA is. The illegal order ad was cowardly deceptive. He also voted to keep the government closed and then lied his ass off about the issue. His democrats owned the expiration date on the extra Obama care subsidy and then Kelly blamed Trump. I’m really surprised you find any reason to vote for him.
