In his Monday night monologue, Kimmel said the "MAGA gang" was trying to score political points off Kirk's killing.
Kimmel said on Monday: "The Maga Gang desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it."
The late-night host also criticised flags being flown at half mast in honour of Kirk, and mocked the president's reaction to the shooting.
"This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he calls a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a gold fish," Kimmel said.

Not only is Kimmel completely out of line for such remarks, but anyone who can’t comprehend why this is completely reprehensible needs their soul examined.
@shooter I do get a kick out of the keep America from the wokesters like you who locked us down and closed businesses and masked our kids. 🤣🤣🤣
@mohoosier Kimmel is the Fing worst. The view celeb creeps who are so far removed from normal people but have the temerity to force their uneducated uninformed politics down our throats. Sucks that he made money from his garbage.
Did he say this:If I’m being pedantic, he didn’t say it was a right winger who did this. He said right wingers were frantically trying to convince themselves that it was a left winger who did this.
Which is true.
Even if it turned out to be true.
That said, it was Nexstar that originally said they weren’t going to air Kimmel anymore. I’m guessing ABC figured they wouldn’t be the only ones so they acted.
That's not being pedantic. It's being correct. He didn't say what he's accused of saying.
"The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them"
Gather around. We are healing.

I didn't say he shouldn't be suspended, and I never denied he said the right was trying to score political points off Kirk's killing. That was his whole point. Of course he said it. I denied he claimed Kirk's killer was a right-winger. And I am correct.

As far as I know, yes, he did. And I'm not surprised he took heat for it. Personally, I think he's right, but that doesn't make it appropriate to notice out loud at this point in time. But that's hardly the issue we're discussing here, is it? We're discussing whether or not he claimed Kirk's killer was a right-winger. Which he didn't.
Dear Jimmy:@shooter inapposite. This is $. Bidness. Glad to see him gone.
You do a show broadcast to the nation. It is a deeply divided nation with a lot of problems right now. A man was killed for speaking his mind on subjects on college campuses and the people who liked his message are distraught, sad, and angry. So what do you do? Go on your show and make fun of them and imply the killer was one of their own.
And then you play the victim when stations in areas that have a lot of the group you just attacked in this time of sadness don't want to broadcast your show? WTF?
You have every right to say what you want, Jimmy. But you don't do this type of stuff on a mass audience show broadcast over a public network and expect no economic consequences. Oh, you've already made your hundreds of millions? Great. What about the local cameraman at the Alabama ABC affiliate? Or the advertising director for that network? etc. etc.
By the way, Jimmy, next time you talk to Howard, tell him he's the worst sell-out in the history of media and his show is now worse than Imus!
@bradstevens frame it!!! Of all the horrible libs nothing is worse then a Hollywood lib
@goat um it’s clear. Are you having a stroke? Or how about common sense. Do you have any? Why else would this take this action if it wasn’t clear.
He strongly implied it.Did he say this:If I’m being pedantic, he didn’t say it was a right winger who did this. He said right wingers were frantically trying to convince themselves that it was a left winger who did this.
