a large Suburu SUV

I didn't know they made a large SUV.  I need to go visit a Subaru dealer, cause I'm due for a different vehicle.

the new Honda Passport looks shockingly good. And it’s a Honda.

Just bought a 2025 model year CRV for my wife.  It has a similar front end to the Pilot.  They are a good looking vehicle.

I’ve often wished I could put Honda drivetrains in Toyotas…

I get logged out fairly regularly but I don't see how it means the forums are crappy.  Works as well as any other IU forums I am on now that the separate logins issue was fixed.

Its a ligament bitch, umm "user un-useability" complaint I mean. Sadly, it's the 2026 vrs of "Keep off my grass", 70-80 yr old's on the webz have standards/expectations, God damnut!  Keep up. (change... F that stuff)

Just remember that I brought you the "back to top button"! (with Mark being my delivery mechanism) . (He sucks,..... no really, he does).

I'm having a dilemma: Believe (proven) compulsive liars ... or non-partisan military experts? That's a tough one.

Anyone grounded in truth and reality knows how this will end: Iran will "win," and the US will have no choice but to pull out. Then Trump will, of course, claim victory.

It's so disgusting that two unprepared egomaniacs fucked around, but it's innocent citizens who are finding out.

Have you ever tried a Peacock feather tincture? Usually applied with a spritzer (is that a word") behind each ear, 4 times a day.

If you do this, your coworkers/ those around you, will notice.... a Difference. So will you (I highly recommend it) try it?

You will be loved as a poster after we all see the change in you. Do not add the unicorn dust, that is well past the advanced level that will bring you joy. (lets put that off for another day!).

My sister has a Nissan Armada SUV which is very nice. Drove it to Atlanta for the CFP game. She's MAGA, though I think some of what Trump has said and done in the last few months are chipping away at that. Someone tell me that the Nissan Armada is a lefty SUV, please.

Oil close to $90 a barrel and not slowing down. Not much, if anything, is moving through the Straights. Experts say IF that continues we will have $5 at the pump in a few weeks.

The US Navy will be escorting tankers through by Monday or Tuesday

Not the first time. We’ve done this before including during my time in the Navy.

Darn, I didn't know that I was a liberal.  We have two Subaru Foresters. 🤣

Today on Trump's social media platform:
"Iran is no longer the Bully of the Middle East," they are, instead, "THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST," and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse! Today Iran will be hit very hard!  Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran's bad behavior, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time.  Thank you for your attention to this matter!  President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Seriously, who writes like this, particularly when the topic is so critically important?  Is it Trump himself?  Steven Miller?  Did one of Trump's grandkids get hold of his log-in credentials?

She probably drives a Subaru, so $5 gas isn't as big a deal for her.

They aren't that good on gas tbh

My daughter’s Crosstrek gets good mileage at about 34 mpg on the highway.

Seems high to me, but not too far off. Most of these lefties driving them are living in urban areas (see Minneapolis).

Lefties? What makes you think it's for lefties? It's perfect for her since it's all wheel drive and drives great in the snow, which she needs in Northern Arizona, and she loves to do camping and other stuff outdoors. We can't even talk cars these days without bringing politics into it.

My car is a gus guzzler that can do nearly 180 mph. Is that a lefty or righty car? Well, I guess it's probably not a car for the far left . . . but do you really think of vehicles as left or right cars? Why would you waste any time at all thinking that way? Maybe you're joking.

Cmon Aloha. It's joking about stereotypes. But there is data to back it up:

Gemini:

Yes, studies and market research have consistently shown that Subaru drivers lean more Democratic or liberal compared to other automotive brands. The brand is highly popular among Democratic voters, ranking alongside vehicles like Volvos and Teslas in surveys of voter car preferences.
Here is a breakdown of the connection between Democrats and Subarus:
  • Popular Models: The Subaru Outback is often identified as one of the most popular vehicles among Democrats. Other popular Subaru models for this demographic include the Forester and Crosstrek.
  • Political Demographics: Data from studies (such as those by Strategic Vision) has shown that consumers who identify as liberal or progressive often favor, in addition to Subarus, vehicles that are perceived as environmentally friendly, practical, and "cool".
  • Target Market: Subaru has historically engaged in marketing targeting specific, often left-leaning, demographics, including the LGBTQ+ community and environmentally conscious outdoor enthusiasts.
  • Regional Factors: While Subaru is popular in blue-leaning areas (like New England), its high-practicality and all-wheel-drive capabilities also make it popular in regions with specific terrain or weather needs, regardless of political affiliation, such as in Colorado or Alaska.
  • Stereotype vs. Reality: While the stereotype of a "liberal Subaru driver" is backed by data, it is not exclusive; the brand also appeals to individuals who prioritize reliability, safety, and high resale value.

Conversely, research often shows that Republican voters tend to favor larger, American-made trucks and SUVs.

My point is that I don’t spend a minute of my time trying to figure out if the owner of any particular car is right, left or whatever. Don’t see the point. If it’s a vehicle sporting Trump flags or one with a bunch of liberal cause stickers, they’re telling us who they are. That’s enough for me. Still going to mess with my MAGA buddy about his large lefty Suburu. It’s a good vehicle for Arizona though.

You’re a humorless chode.

The Scene: The Hoosier Huddle "Water Cooler" board. A user posts a clearly over-the-top, sarcastic thread titled: "BREAKING: IU Football to replace Cream and Crimson with Neon Green and Fuchsia to 'Blind the Opposition.'"

The Punchline:

Within three minutes, Aloha-Hoosier replies with a 600-word manifesto. He doesn't use a single emoji. He cites the 1954 uniform standards, quotes a disgruntled former equipment manager from the Mallory era, and concludes by calling the original poster a "subversive element" who clearly never spent a day in the "Department of War."

When the entire board replies with "Whoosh," Aloha simply responds:

"I don't know who this 'Whoosh' character is, but if he thinks neon is a tactical advantage, he’s as delusional as the rest of you. I’ve seen better strategic thinking in a bowl of lukewarm oatmeal. Post reported for misinformation."

If you don't already call him a lesbian for driving a Subaru, you're not doing your job as a buddy.

He should be asking him if his PT Cruiser is in the shop.

That's way more subtle and funnier.

I would go with a convertible VW Cabriolet.

Chrysler Pacifica

Hey, my dad drives one!
