I have little doubt that he has raised the possibility and probably not for the first time. I have tons of doubt that any of his military advisers would agree with the idea - with the possible exception of SecDef Hegseth. And that’s a concern.

This site won't be successful ever operating on this platform. I come to it less and less every week just because the forums are so bad. Particularly for mobile, which is all everyone under age 75 use.
Let me know what the concerns are. This isn't something that can't be resolved.

WordPress plugins are not a solution for an active forum. You can even go ask WP Reddit, they'll tell you not to use it and to use a real forum product.
@twenty I heard you. This site is more than a forum. I also have a lot of other technical things to deal with, actually cover stuff, manage a team of writers and had a whole list of things to get done.

I'll leave it at this, site engagement is how you drive traffic. And while good articles are great, good forums are what will pull people back here daily. You can't write enough stuff that keeps people pulling up this site hourly, but forum engagement will. And a better platform will help with traffic and proper/relevant ad placement. I'm getting an ad for living with prostate cancer... Fortunately nothing I have any interest about.
