The much better 1/2 and I are on a cruise in Europe. Met a couple from Portland. He said it was awesome there, and said we should visit. I replied that I hoped to, if it doesn’t get shut down. He chuckled and said the hub bub was all bullshit, and there are about 10 protesters. The chaos is all propaganda.

The issue isn't that it's overblown. The issue is that, during normal political times, one particular political wing constantly warned us about the dangerous effects of executive overreach, and now those very people are the headline cheerleaders for executive overreach. It's almost like they were always entirely full of shit, and they never cared about executive overreach at all, but really only cared about Democrats exercising executive authority.
