The Ryder Cup is decidedly non-IU related and it's not football or basketball so, I'm hoping the Water Cooler can maybe have one thread that is a much different type of "us" vs. "them" (USA vs. Europe on the golf course). Hopefully whomever is interested can enjoy this thread for Ryder Cup discussion! Who do you think wins? Which player or players shine and which ones fold under the pressure? Will the crowd cross the line (I think there are significant concerns about this given the current reality of the country and the relationship with Europe...and with each other)? It should be a fascinating three days.

Tom Homan will be at Bethpage Black to check visas. Got to get in their heads.
Can anyone here play this game?
U.S. roster is better, deeper. Home field advantage.
Europe probably wins.

Trump will be there Friday.
Rumors are he's EO'ing and will be Bryson's Friday afternoon partner - no cap.
We'll be up 8-0 before the weekend.
Europe wins, as they should given their population is more than 2x the US, but it seems like they just care more about it. Just look at Tiger’s record. I kind of like Dechambeau but saw an interview yesterday where he talked about getting YouTube hits but no mention of the team or winning the cup, but hopefully a few of the gang give a crap this year.
The crowd embarrasses America repeatedly.
Rory McIlroy is the biggest douche in sports, much less team Euroweenie, but Shane Lowry is right there too. Thank god Ian Poulter is gone.
If Europe wins they should be banned from PGA tour until next Ryder Cup.

Count me in. I'm always up for hating on Europeans. We're running it back like it's 1776. They're getting curb stomped again.

Bryson is always talking about his youtube channel.
I think youtube golf is a great way to grow the game and gain popularity in our younger generations. I have a sense so does Bryson.
Toldja.
If we're up 4-0 in the morning, he's playing with Bryson in the afternoon.

US team took money, Europe refused. Sad the Americans can’t just play for their country.

I bet it’s all given to charity. Xander and Cantlay have said as much. At least Bryson is playing against Rahm and Hatton in the first match…it will make it easier for me to hope he plays well

Feels like it’s already gonna be over after today. Our guys are shitting the bed….
Americans are getting curb stomped right now.
Getting our asses beaten early...with our best out there. Europe usually struggles in this first session... so maybe we'll flip it like they often have?
Its always been a weird dynamic, for me. The Europeans care more about their EU flag than our fellas do for Old Glory. Weird. There are many years I'd just as soon we send our top Amateurs.
