Do we really have 2 years and 9 months of this to go? At his rate of decline, maybe he kicks the bucket before then.

Fine and dandy. 😉
No mature adult with average or better intelligence would allow himself to be financially vulnerable during these times.
I think that was what Trump campaigned on, right?Fine and dandy. 😉

"It's tumultuous times...no one's fault. We'll be fine. Just ride it out. I couldn't do any better than Biden either, so I don't blame him."

So the 50% who aren't are just shit out of luck? This ain't Lake Woebegone, you know.
That’s not what shooter asked, is it?Fine and dandy. 😉

To your question, the blunt answer is, yes. The pie in the sky answer is, vote. Last I heard 50% is pretty close to a winning margin.

On a serious note, you’re obviously no dummy, ever thought about doing an AI side hustle?
No mature adult with average or better intelligence would allow himself to be financially vulnerable during these times.
Who said I or anyone here was financially vulnerable at all?
It also seems rude to suggest that anyone who IS financially vulnerable must be stupid.
It does affect our lives, though, even if we aren't in dire straights. For example I am altering my driving habits to minimize trips, since a tank fill-up now tops $80 and I find myself driving more after my first grandchild arrived 2 months ago and 2.5 hours away. I haven't yet changed any investment strategies, as I am a long-haul investor, but some here may have ideas / other approaches. I am not looking to change jobs, which is a good thing, since the jobs market is pretty awful.
When the strange history of the Trump presidency is listed, I have a feeling that the narrative will be split between
-the lies
-the corruption / grifting
-the endless wars
-the exploding deficit
-the obvious Amendment 25 issue being ignored
-the cult following
-the unwillingness of congress and the SCOTUS to reign in a tyrant
-the largest protests in US history (no Kings this Saturday!)
-the economic malaise (or worse)

My cash flow is negative lately, but that's owing to some car repairs and medical stuff that upped our expenses substantially, but only temporarily. Meanwhile, my meager portfolio is down about 5% from it's pre-invasion high (as of yesterday).
The spike in prices under Biden was mitigated by an equal spike in wages. That doesn't appear to be happening now. And anecdotally, the lower working class people I encounter have had enough of Trump. Their lives my not be substantially worse than before, but they sure aren't any better, and the near future prospects appear dim.
Your OP asked the board how we are doing, not how others are doing. I assume most of us are financially sound and all of us are above average intelligence. That partially fed my response. The rest of my response was a swipe at Trump and anyone who voted for him while not expecting insanities like tariffomania, Trumpstein files, Iran war, ICE gestspo, and moreNo mature adult with average or better intelligence would allow himself to be financially vulnerable during these times.

Yeah, it's not the greatest, but still light years ahead of Biden. It really is amazing how f#cking terrible Biden was. Trump institutes massive tariffs and decides to take over Persia and the economy is still light years ahead of Biden's disaster. Also, Hot Wheels, the S&P 500 was down 20% and Nasdaq down 33% in 2022. If you all survived that year, you'll make it through 2026😉
Yeah, it's not the greatest, but still light years ahead of Biden.
It's so bad even Jill Biden's secret service agent shot himself.
I reckon I might too if I got stuck on that detail.
A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"

Making up for being undertargeted in the NFL?Yeah, it's not the greatest, but still light years ahead of Biden.
