...or so I was told
I tried to listen. I really did. But the longer I listened, the more it sounded like the rantings you can hear most days on 2nd and Walnut.
I feel like I missed something here. When/where was the greatest day in the history of civilization promised?
Mets and their 300m payroll choked allowing the Redlegs into the playoffs is my guess. May the Dodgers and their bloated payroll also feel the wrath of the small market.
Or an unscripted Trump presser.

The Reds getting into the playoffs is pretty great and I don't even follow baseball all that close anymore. Too bad the games against LA start after 9pm EST. I get it, but sheesh.

That was about as pathetic of an end of season as possible, the Reds and Mets tried hard to not make it. The Reds lost a series to the As and a series to the Pirates, if that isn't giving up i don't know what is. But somehow the Mets played worse.

great weekend
Hoosiers won
Reds made the playoffs
Mets choked
Fever won a playoff game
Patriots won. And, oh yeah, the Colts lost.
All the teams I have supported for 45+ years or since they existed (Fever) did well. Odd to watch college FB, NFL FB, basketball, and baseball with rooting interest over the same weekend.
Kept me from even switching over to the news to see who got shot, where.

I might have seen this wrong and I'm too lazy to look it up, but I think the Dodgers got swept by the Pirates at one point this season. I'm not crazy enough to put any money down on the Reds winning that series, but anything is possible.
While it kinda seems as if the Reds backed into the playoffs, losing their last game, I did see somewhere that over the last 21 games the Reds were 13-8 while the Mets went 7-14. The Mets also had the best record in baseball sometime in June and then put up a pride flag, so I hear, and then stunk up the place the rest of the year. Make of that what you will . . .
Can anyone here play this game?
@univee2 for me it was losing to the As and Pirates that made it backing in. I can understand losing to Skenes, though he still lost 10 games or so so he wasn't unbeatable. But it was so frustrating.
It is amazing the Reds have good pitching stats, terrible hitting stats. How is that possible at GABP? Almost no power playing in a hitter's park.
New season now, they will have to hit some to advance. Last time in the playoffs, Atlanta shut them out twice.
Pete Alonso.
For $500, who should the Reds sign this offseason?, Alex.

Here I was just trying to start a fight and you douchebags have to make it all about baseball. Take it to the baseball forum, god dammit.
Has NPR/PBS ever had a baseball game on their schedule?
Didn’t think so.
Fvck ‘em.
