After the Democrats had me all but convinced that the Embodiment of All Evil Orange Man was going to steal the election after the fact and almost certainly kick start “The Civil War Part II” (I’d even heard that Ken Burns was already working on his insightful commentary lambasting the Orange Man and his evil minions for: CW part II)…
They were all so believable that I dropped several grand on semi-expired MRE’s, cut a hole in my master bedroom closet floor and dug a “hasty” bunker in the crawl space (note to self: rent a backhoe and put it in the backyard next time [I may not be able to stand up straight for a month!].
I had to start a winter garden to find some where to dump the dirt “Great Escape” style so my wife wouldn’t figure out what I was doing (she’s not having completely bought into the Emergency Prepper lifestyle [I try to overlook her lack of brilliance of foresight and keep sight of her other positive qualities ]…).
If she ever finds that hole in the closet floor Before we need it I’m a dead man… I beveled the edges of the hatch cover and stuck a heavy box over it so unless she suddenly starts reading “The Water Cooler” I think my secret is safe…
At any rate, now it looks like Trump is Not going to destroy democracy as we know it anytime soon and has done the worst job of stealing an election since, since…. well…, since ever…
Those wild eyed MAGA folk didn’t even turn over a single car… block a single highway, or burn anything down. I have it on good authority that even the backyard fire pit activity was seriously muted…
