According to that article, Trump hotels got 7.8 million out of a yearly revenue of 150 million. = 5%
Hyatt hotels had a 2024 reporting of 6.6 billion in revenue. 5 mil would have been about .07%. So a factor difference of 70 times.
You are always writing off Trump's grifting because "Dems do it too" but always completely ignore the scale difference between the two.
Why is the % of revenue of the hotel parent company relevant or what is that indicative of in any way? That the gov’t should stay only in bigger chains?

I also find it odd. If my tax dollars are used for self-dealing at a Hyatt Brand or at an exclusive Trump property. What’s the difference in percentage of revenue to those businesses?
Except it’s not self-dealing. It’s all silliness. Democrats need places to stay when they travel, a Hyatt is as good as any. Trump is free to travel to his home(s). So is Biden for that matter.
They need secret service with them.
It’s real bottom of the barrel low IQ silliness, which was my point in highlighting the Hyatt “conflict”.
Naturally Squeaky and Highlife were eager to engage.
