ESPN will offer their services direct to Consumers this fall for $30 per month. Fox Sports including Big 10 Network will do the same this fall for $20.
ESPN just purchased NFL network and redzone. Hopefully they leave them separate rather than roll them into the ESPN package and raise the price.
Really only those networks and TNT keep me on a cable/Satellite/streaming service for Sports. I do get TNT sports on Max or whatever it is now called via company discount benefit. Just switched from Directv satellite which is the best service to Hulu to save money. Time to breakout the spreadsheet again because I don't really watch Hulu Live channels except for sports. I use Table and have a TV antenna to get all the local channels free and 100 more internet TV channels like freebies you'd get on Roku, Peacock, Amazon etc..
I pay extra for the Disney+/ESPN+/Hulu package - I wonder if I already get everything that ESPN offers. I have YouTube TV and that's getting way too expensive lately. I basically only use that for sports too. Honestly, I probably haven't watched anything on it recently and would love to save the around $90 a month it might save me.
The only slight issue is watching NFL games. I'm not sure where to get the games on CBS. And it is nice during March Madness. Maybe I'll just go somewhere to watch those games a few times a year if need be.
CBS is free using a TV antenna.
it really is exhausting.
here's what i want:
bravo
tlc
food
discovery
history
premier league/la liga/cfb
so stream youtube tv fubo etc provide 100 channels i absolutely never watch
then you need
disney/hulu
apple
hbo
prime
netflix
peacock
paramount
so the idea of streaming and how it was going to be better like most tech things has only made it worse. we used to have direct tv. that was it
This sucks. I have YouTubeTV, but will probably pause it after BBall season ends. I always get the MLB package anyway. Too many options now.

I honestly didn't realize you could pause it until I was checking my account today. I would have paused it after March Madness as there really isn't anything I watch after that. I'm seriously considering pausing it for as long as possible...until March Madness. Unless of course there is a direct-to-consumer streaming service/app that will stream all those games.
I do like watching some NFL games, but not enough for close to $90/month.
@mcm666 I just got rid of Paramount and Peacock, trying to cut costs. I'm REALLY thinking of pausing YouTube TV for the fall. Most of what I watch is on HBO/Netflix/Apple/the Disney+ bundle.
I do enjoy things like the Daily Show, but I haven't watched that live in a million years. They put all their stuff on YouTube anyway.
@ohio-guy How do you watch CFB then?
Mostly on YouTube TV currently/last year. They have ESPN/Fox/B1G Network/CBS/NBC on there. If I can get ESPN/Fox directly, I might get an HD antenna or something to get the CBS/NBC games (ABC games are going to be on the ESPN thing). If I can find a way to get 80% of the games I want to watch without YouTubeTV I'll cancel it.
If I have to go to a restaurant/bar to watch an occasional game, it's not the worst thing in the world. I'd guess most of the 'big' games I'd want to watch are going to be easy enough to find.
