if this is the case for liability, even ignoring foreseeability etc, you might as well skip the pretense and declare guns illegal.
They can't do that, so they're just going to bankrupt all the manufacturers and force capital to go elsewhere.

@hooky bankrupt/make them uninsurable. as much as it pains me to say it hooky because i know it impacts reasonable dudes like yourself, my uncles, collectors, people who appreciate guns i'd be for amendments and buy backs and getting rid of guns. i know the tyranny and central tenets and on and on but we just have too many people that don't value life. the shootings here are absolutely insane. blacks are murdering people working at steak and shake for fcking up their orders. the blacks have just gotten so out of control that they are ruining peoples' comfort and sense of safety in their communities. the kids, 12 year olds, all have guns and when they get detained they are turned over to their absentee sub 70 iq parents and put back on the streets the next day so that they can shoot into our cars. their culture won't change. dems won't require it. so f it. pubs need to give up the guns.

Most of my life, it has been the Right that has pushed back on free speech. They've always had "cracks." But the Left's turn (not all, obvs) over the last decade has been awful. Many on the Right now want it becasue they aren't the governing party/elite, and to just push back on the Left out of spite. But I feel like championing a more robust version of the First Amendment is a much more comfortable position to take on the right than the left among talking heads these days.

I know I piss hooky and others off and I actually agree with the importance of our right but Stl City in two days, just 275,000 people total, had 2,200 calls multiple shootings, and recovered 21 guns.
I don’t want my kids eating a stray bullet watching a soccer game. The left is going the opposite direction. Defund again. Bail projects. I care about public safety more than anything and as opposed to it as I am I want to do whatever is necessary to have less guns in this country. We can’t have nice things.

@boogie they charged the 19 year old uncle too. But the politicians on the city are woke and shockingly stupid. They are pushing defund again and to end bail. Last weekend cops had 2200 calls and recovered 21 guns. Old client’s son just started with the dept. his first arrest yielded two ARs two pistols and dope. His second arrest a homicide. And the president of the board of alderman is an nyc transplant socialist who wants to defund.
