For very different reasons.
England is having a difficult time funding enough primary care doctors. The US has long had a problem (less of a problem since Obamacare) getting people access to primary care doctors. But they both lead to the same place: People rolling on up to ER's with bullshit that shouldn't be wasting an ER's time.
@goat I'm finding less of a need for primary care doctors with my family. Flu. Broken bone. Easier to go to urgent care. Primaries don't treat anything of any significance anyway. They are largely just doctor brokers for specialists. That you can get done faster presenting to an ER too in many occasions. Check ups. That's basically it. Inflated price checkups. I like Riverview more than our primary.
I don’t know about Indiana, but in Colorado, Doc in the Box store front medical facilities are all over the place. I can think of 4 within a few minutes drive. Some of these are staffed with PA’s, associated with larger institutions, and provide all kinds of primary care. The notion that ER’s are wasting time and resources on sniffles is not true. I don’t know if there is a cause and effect, but these places came up after Obamacare.

Both things are true
